Its a cooker! 114 degrees in the shade. Wipe your brow and go directly to the second week of May. Collect your years wages of 25000 dollars.

Life would be perfect if it were more like the Farming Game. If you have ever played the Farming Game you would not only understand the joke, but you would probably also wonder where your years wages come from. Seriously. You own your farm, purchase crops and cattle and make money off of them. Who exactly is paying your wages when you pass Christmas Vacation? Im sure it isnt Uncle Phil. He passed away last year during Harvest Moon and left you with forty acres of hay in his will. It pays for itself alright when you are lucky enough to land a third or fourth cutting, but things can get rough when a dry spell forces you to cut your hay harvest check in half for the entire year! Maybe life in the Farming Game wouldnt be all that great. Especially when that brand new tractor you bought several years ago causes you to put a second mortgage on your home in order to pay off the annual ten percent of bank notes on hand.

Ive been busy lately. Too busy to blog. I keep telling myself that I am going to get a bike so not only can I get some exercise but I will also be able to stay at the office later to finish up personal things, like posting on Joughs Life. I dont know if it has been the lack of shopping time or the reluctance to get back into shape but it doesnt look like Ill have one any time soon. Try not to take it personal though, I still havent answered my month old emails. I have been doing taxes for nearly a month and we are now entering our busy season. I initially had fun learning how everything worked here in regards to the local computer network and the secure electronic tax filing systems but now everything seems like general data entry. Im sure if I were to continue a career in the field of tax preparation I would enjoy learning the details of business transactions including the benefits of owning Toppenish Ridge located just north of Toms cattle farm.

But I would still have to abide by the rules set by someone else…

Sure, I can follow rules that are relative to the well being of humanity. I pay my taxes and drive on the right side of the road but I dont think I could allow myself to live my entire life under the control of an employer.

I recently launched the beta version of a new web directory called Wutzle. Currently, bloggers are able to submit their blogs to multiple categories, search other blogs and vote on their favorite. Future plans are to move to areas besides blogging and possibly into the ecommerce aspect of the internet. Think of it as being Froogle with a Wutzle flavored twist! Be sure to check it out. Email me your suggestions. I will continue to put forth my best effort in making Wutzle the greatest directory on the internet. When tax season is over I might have to take a look at that second mortgage to get Wutzle its own server. The Farming Game becomes more like reality every day and Harrah Harry strikes again!

What is a Wutzle anyway?
