Something a little different.

There is a concert here in Bozeman tonight. This isn’t just some ordinary college campus ‘come see the big rock star’ get together. No, this is the tour that made Osborne rethink group signing for the Ozzfest. This is the tour started by the one and only Glenn Danzig to promote the more extreme music not supported by the mainstream media. Sure, the Blackest of the Black tour will probably be filled with a bunch of Goth High Schoolers who never learned to respect the early nineties and late eighties metal bands. I guess you could call me a hypocrite for that since those were my MC Hammer days. But, today I do enjoy groups like Pantera, Slayer and Danzig because I like the music and not because I want to be a non-conformist. Boy, I sound like that episode of South Park…

The main reason why I want to go to this concert is because the drummer from my all-time favorite band Type O Negative will be there. To tell you the truth, it surprises me that they will even be coming to Montana at all. The type of music doesn’t seem well appreciated around these areas. Let’s just hope a bunch of skinheads don’t come and shoot up the place like they did at the rave I went to in Billings many, many years ago. I am excited for this concert though, and it should be enjoyable.
