Someone dislikes me.

Back in March I had taken a week off from work to visit Beleisha in Oklahoma. Upon my return I found my computer at work had a corrupted hard drive which was unsalvageable. Months of work was lost not to mention the several hours configuring a new computer.

Today was my first day back to work since I left on the eighth for our wedding and honeymoon. You can understand my frustration when I returned, once again, to a broken computer. This time, fortunately the hard drive was not corrupt and still usable but what was actually wrong with the computer came as a surprise. The only remaining contents of the hard drive were the c:windows directory and all directories below it; there were no files within these directories. There was a timestamp on the windows directory of September sixteenth at 6:13AM. Keep in mind I had turned my computer off before I left on the evening of the eighth. Given these facts it is only plausible to conclude that someone had turned my computer on and deleted the entire contents of its hard drive in my absence. Also, taking into consideration that it is not possible to delete contents of the windows directory through windows itself, this task had to have been done at the time stated of 6:13AM.

First of all I would like to know who I have angered enough to make them do such a thing to me. Second of all I would like to know who in their right mind would go to work so freaking early to do this. If anyone has a thought as to any other way this could have happened, please let me know. A virus can be ruled out as I had a current version of Norton Antivirus and Internet Security running and the computer was also behind the network firewall.

I was able to restore everything to like-new condition due to the backup I had created on a network drive, but I just wish I didn’t have to waste an entire day doing so.
